You may qualify to drive for Sunteck Transport Carriers if you meet the following minimum criteria:
Professional appearance and business attitudeCommitment to comply with all local, state and federal safety regulationsMust be a minimum of 23 years of ageMinimum three (3) years verifiable truck driving experienceMust possess only one (1) valid CDL issued by the state of residenceMust have a working cell phone numberCannot exceed eight (8) total points against the following incident point assessment:
9 - Any drug or alcohol related incident (i.e. DUI, refusal, etc.) 9 - Railroad crossing violation 9 - Allowing non-licensed operator 9 - Felony conviction 9 - Fleeing a police officer 9 - Leaving scene of accident 9 - Reckless driving/racing 9 - Vehicular Manslaughter 9 - Failure to stop for school bus 9 - Two or more at-fault accidents 4 - One at-fault accident 4 - Over 68 years of age 4 - Cited for driving while suspended/revoked license 4 - Speeding in excess of 15 mph over limit 4 - Following too closely 4 - Improper passing, lane change including failure to signal, or use 4 - Driving on wrong side of road 3 - Disregarding traffic control device, red light, or stop sign 3 - Excessive speed or speed too fast for conditions 3 - Speeding 11 to 15 mph over limit 3 - Failure to yield right-of-way 3 - Careless Driving 2 - Speeding 1 to 10 mph over limit 2 - Improper backing or turning 2 - Two (2) not at Fault Accidents 2 - Three (3) minor violations of the state or local law relating to vehicle control including parking, vehicle weight, vehicle defect, seat belt violations or non-moving violation. Note: An applicant with 9 or more total points is not eligible for consideration as a driver in the Sunteck system. Above are our minimum operator qualification requirements and are subject to any changes in DOT or Sunteck requirements. In addition, Sunteck may impose more stringent requirements at its/their option. We do not reduce these minimum standards nor make exceptions for less qualified, prospective operators. The decision of whether to qualify and approve an operator will be made by Sunteck in its sole discretion and on a case-by-case basis.
